What are some baby shower games that would give mom to be some money?

Ok, first off, is it ok to play a baby shower game that would result in some money for the mom to be? If its not too tacky, any ideas on some games would be great...i mean, what about a 50/50 raffle, or something?What are some baby shower games that would give mom to be some money?

If your guests are already bringing gifts, then it is kind of tacky to ask for more money. If you feel that the Mom2B needs money, then you can ask your guests to do a money tree or pool together and get useful gift certificates. Best gift for a new Mom: a membership and gift certificate to Sams or Costco.

A raffle sounds like a great idea! You could make a gift basket with lotions and shower gels and have a raffle. Good luck and have fun!
Well this one didn't give money, but it was great at ours. In the invites, my mother in law said she was raffling movie and dinner gift cards, and told anyone who wanted to enter to win to bring a package of diapers. We made out great!!! And diapers are so expensive!
well, my idea doesn't exactly give the mom to be money, but it helps out a great deal with what she will really need. Mention on the invitation for everyone to bring either a package of diapers or a package of wipes. Then you can put them on one table and everyone can write down a guess as to how many individual diapers and wipes are there. They person who guesses the closest gets some sort of prize. The mom to be then has a ton of diapers and wipes which can get really expensive!!
I have a few ideas one could be scratch off games everyone gets one or buys one $1.00 per person is real cheap but the winning tickets all go to the mom as a gift. Say there's 40 guests , $40.00 will go into scratch offs Some one is bound to win something...

do a raffle where people pay to guess the birthdate, time, weight. have people pay to play and then split the money between the mother and the winner
asking for $ is not tacky. If i was preparing a shower. I'de Simply grab a oversized plastic toy bottle and decorate it. Throw in a few dollars and place it with the gifts. They'll get the picture.
Sounds tacky to me. If people want to give money, they will. If there's something specific she needs, you can have a raffle around that. I went to a shower where they wrote on the invitation that they would give a raffle ticket to anyone who brought diapers. This can work whether she plans to use cloth or disposable.



Make sure she registers for gifts, even if there's nothing she wants. Many stores will allow her to use her registry in place of a receipt, so she can return everything and use store credit for what she really wants.
