Who is better pool player-The tournament player or the money games player?

@Stickman - I disagree. Based on my 35 years of playing experience, money players transition well into tournament play, while far fewer trophy players play at the same level when they are playing with their own money, It's a completely different type of pressure, and once a trophy player is taken beyond their comfort zone, it really shows in their game.

I will add, though, that there are many trophy players who are also money players, so we have to take them out of the mix.Who is better pool player-The tournament player or the money games player?
No question Road players they just keep a lower profile "only"after they get to well known do they go into tourn play ,When they can no longer get a game Its not by choice Earthquake told me in houston he wishes he never even saw the color of money he lost twice what he got paid the first month after it came out because of Instant Fame everybody knew him all of a sudden

Do all the reasearch you want have you ever heard of a guy named Top Water-I know but thats what he calls himself he took Keith -Archer_ and the pearl -For even their gas money just a little pool room junkie no one has ever heard of "Yet" when they do he will prob go for a few hundred in the calcutta instead of a race to 11 for $20K Did you see the Marathon the pearl had to play for that acouple of weeks ago boiled down to what a hundred a game a high school drop out can get a better game than that My spell checker is about to overload so im out of here LaterWho is better pool player-The tournament player or the money games player?
It all varies in the time and the place and the circumstances alot of road players usually go into tournaments later in there life to make a name a good example would be Keith McCready there were alot more they usually start out as road players and then tournaments players so it really is a flip of a coin.

But for the most part I would have to say Tournament players because thats where the more experinced people usually play at but it really does vary on circumstances.Who is better pool player-The tournament player or the money games player?
