Is it possible to make money out of role playing games (of the offline variety)?

I have seen things about making money from online computer games but is it possible to make money out of the paper and pen variety? Is it possible to make money out of role playing games (of the offline variety)?
Theoretically, yes, it is quite possible. Is it possible to make money out of role playing games (of the offline variety)?
Yes is the simple answer - you've only got to look at the success of games like Dungeons and Dragons and War Hammer to see that there is a market out there.

The big problem is going to be coming up with a idea for the scenario (world if you will) that game play will take place in. Then you need to come up with some way of regulating play to be fair to all participants and a way by which the game can be influenced by random event generators of some kind, thus making the game different every time it's played.

Take Monopoly as an example. It is a role play game of a very basic type - you take on the roll of a banker or cash rich property developer during play. The use of a pair of dice and a level playing field of everyone having the same amount of money at the commencement means that all player at the start of the game are equal and have no/little control over the opening moves. Through the dice and the use of shuffled cards (Chance and Community Chest) each game is individual as you don't know what you're going to get as play progresses. Now, in this game, the aim is to be last man/woman standing having bankrupted all your fellow players, but what would be the aim of your game? An individual goal or a team one (again I'm thinks on D%26amp;D).

How would you market the game? If you're thinking of a playing board and paraphernalia (dice, characters or place holders, cards, CD's, DVD's etc), where would you market through? Who's your target audience? Or, are you thinking of a true pen and paper game where all you'd need for each player would be a notebook and pencil. But then, what are you selling? Unfortunately, in order for people to part with cash, they expect a tangible product in return, even if it's only a book - and then if that's the way you're thinking, how would you set each game up to allow for random elements and designate when the game has come to a conclusion?

In essence, yes you can make money BUT you've got to have a finished, working product that's been tested thoroughly. Is it possible to make money out of role playing games (of the offline variety)?
Yes it possible, when i was browsing on internet i have found http://www.bestdamnpools.com for playing online sport pools like NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA and many other. You can play for cash and you can make big money online.
