How much money does Game Stop give you for selling games? Is there a certain percentage? Any advise welcome.?

Usually gamestop gives you like 15-20% off the retail tag. I've heard stories when people would get $30 for a wii console and then gamestop would sell it for $130.00 ...

They are ripping people off if you ask me. The only good thing is you can go and get your cheap change right away from one of their stores.

I sold a few games to them once, but then I found www.sellgamesfast.com

They pay my 60-80% off the market price and paypal the money on the next day after they receive the package from me. I usually get cash in 3-2 days, so I'm very happy. I just shop for new games right away :)

I sold them like 50 used PC games the very first time I tried them and way very pleased. My games were old and took too much space on my book shelf, they just gave me cash in 3 days no questions asked. I can't even imagine how long it would take to sell it on ebay, and ebay would also charge me fees and commissions ... oh, yeah ... than paypal would take their cut as well ...

Take care. How much money does Game Stop give you for selling games? Is there a certain percentage? Any advise welcome.?
The best way to find out how much you would get for a game is to take it in and ask the employee to find out for you. They will also sometimes have advertisements on their website or in the store that has trade-in prices for current popular games. Your payout depends on how recent the game is, the demand for the game, and the amount GameStop currently has in their pre-owned stock.

One thing to understand with GameStop is that they will pay you a fair amount. The reason I would suggest using them is the convenience they provide. However, if money is important to you, you can probably make more by selling the game independently.

I can personally say I am pleased with how much they pay so it's up to you and your financial situation. Sorry there's no percentage or exact system, you just gotta go check it out for yourself if you're that curious. How much money does Game Stop give you for selling games? They give you next to nothing then throw it back on the shelf for a few bucks lower than retail , ex. I wanted to sell Street Fighter 4 , brand new case , instruction manuel , game was only played 3 or 4 times they said $11.64 ! LOL , i laughed at them and hung up i also called gamecrazy and they offered me a few cents more ! My point is you will recieve a much better return if you sell on ebay or craigslist or even to a friend . Hope this helped , and incase you were wondering i ended up selling the game on craigslist for $35 u.s dollars 3 times as much as they offered .How much money does Game Stop give you for selling games? They rip people off and it depends on the game. I bought Prototype for 60 bucks, I didn't like it brought it back 3 or 4 days later and they only gave me 30 bucks for it. I barely even played it. But I did have a bunch of shitty PS2 games and I just traded them in and got about 70 bucks for all of them. Some games they will give you 3 bucks and some 30 bucks. Depends.
I asked my local Game Stop about how much they pay for used games and they said that it all depends on Supply and Demand. If consumers want a certain game, they're going to pay more for a game than a game that no one wants. Surprisingly I got 10 bucks for my Lego Star Wars for GBA.
