How can I make money playing video games?

I play every kind of game and I was wondering if anyone knows how I can get a job doing this... I would be willing to do reports about whatever is needed... Could someone help me out... I'm 18 and have a part time job so I would have plenty of time to work.How can I make money playing video games?

Anyway, what sort of job you want to do? Like being a quality assurance tester? Or something along the lines of playing games professionally?



To be a QA, it requires some college degree in the IT field. Check with your local schools to get an idea.



To be a professional, like the MLG, you'd probably want to join a clan and start participating in matches around your area or across the country. You'll have to travel a lot, and most of the time people who sponsor these sort of things will come to you if you're good enough.

Playing any video games does not mean you're good at it. Join a team, if they let you in. Play in regionals and nationals, and you get approx. $3,000. If you're on the team, you get sponsored and get paid by the sponsored and the manager of the team.



Mostly likely go for WC3, starcraft, or Counter strike. You have to be PRO at those game in order get into a very good paying team. Games like MW2 rarely have teams that pay you. The teams are usually friends and for fun.
If i were you, i would check out the local game studios, or travel somewhere where there are studios, and look for a basic Quality Assurance job. QA basically means you will test the games and find faults in them for the developers to fix. although for this you normally have to know some things about how games are made and what is put into them so that you know what your talking about when you tell them whats wrong with them. hope this helps :)How can I make money playing video games?

Just search around the web for a job as a Video Game Tester. Or look locally to find a listing. Just try many different things until you can find one.
