Leave him alone, how much do you spend on makeup, texting, whatever it is you do with your free time. I hate it when a woman tries to control the little aspects in a mans life. So he likes video games a lot, unless he's FLAT broke and is taking food out of his mouth to buy games, I don't see the problem. Here's an idea, tell him you'll stop buying clothes, purses, makeup, etc. If he stops buying video games. At least make it even, cut his Entertainment budget by 200 and cut your own by 200.
Have a baby together. He won't have the time OR money for anything ever again! Worked on me :(



Serious answer: if he's spending that much money on games, and presumably the time to play them, then he can't be spending much of either on you. Suggest activities you could be doing together or places you could go, instead. Maybe suggest saving for a cool holiday together. If that doesn't drag him away from the games as much as you'd like, then maybe that says something about how he views your relationship...How can I get my boyfriend to stop spending so much money on video games?!?
I'm sorry but your gonna have to have a pretty good reason for him to stop. If its hurting him/ the both of you finacially then use that against him. If it's not then there's no hope. your gona have to bring up the "if you really love me then you will calm down with video game purchases".

Don't threaten him, and especially don't yell on him. You can make him jealous, he probably will understand, probably not, but you can try. He can drop games if only he understands there's something more important in his life.
