Why are ps3 games and xbox games so much money?

I used to have a ps2 and the most popular games would be $50 and usually after a year the price goes down to $30 but usually $20 for a new one



I was looking at some ps3 games and even all the older ones are still rather expensive

A preowned Infamous 1 from 2009 was $27. Whats going on here.

Production costs are more and infamous is an exclusive and demand is still good for the game and it's popular also try xbox for some reason games are more cheaper by $10 also the game is $20 for new not $29?
Most new games for xbox 360 and ps3 cost $60 in canada or the us. This is because they have so many people working on the games for a couple of years, so they need to pay them.

Try amazon.com, or if you have a local EB Games (rare) they have the cheapest games you'll ever find. As for why? If you own a PS3 (300-400$) then they know you'll pay 50$ for a game. if you have a PS2 (75-$) they know you probably won't. I was wondering the same thing though. Pokemon battle revoltion is what 3 years old? and its still 40-45$ Pre-owned at gamestop. Talk about a rip off. I lways Amazon.com for stuff. Mario party 5 is 160$ new, or 15$ from amazon. Lol. You should try it.
its called price and demand.. the demand for ps2 games are low so are the prices... but for xbox and ps3 the games are highly demanded so the prices go up or stay averageWhy are ps3 games and xbox games so much money?

They make CD for only pennies and sell it for like 70$, and how many of these do they sell?...
cause the old game systems arent really used so they just make there price lower ps3 and xbox has high prices because they usally have the games that are 5 stars and stuff plus the consoles are new so more people will be playing it
