While it could be interpreted as wrong to buy a game, then share it with your friend for a fee (as you are making money from the developer's creation without compensation), what if you instead pooled your money and both downloaded the game? Financially, it's the same concept, but technically, is that still cheating the developer?Technically, are you allowed to "split" downloadable games with your friends if you agree to pool money?
Depends on the game, really. If it's something that uses Blizzard's Battle.net where one person with a specific key can access the game at a time (let's forget about the guest/offline mode here), then it should be fine because technically, only one copy of the game can be accessed at a time.
Now, if all of you and your friends could play the game at once, that would be cheating the developer as you would need X many copies to play yet you only paid for 1.
