Why do Pre- owned games cost less money if there is nothing wrong with them?

I'm wondering this because I saw a 2 or 3 year old DS game and the new price was 拢24, but the Pre- owned price was 拢14. I don't get why Pre owned games cost less money! If there is nothing wrong with them I don't get it! (I know what Pre- owned means by the way!)Why do Pre- owned games cost less money if there is nothing wrong with them?
Because the box has been opened. The moment you take the laptop out of the box and power it on the value of it drops. It's just one of those things.
Well, someone else owned it before you so they've done things with it. You don't know if they scratched it or if the disc is so dirty it will only work for a few days. The point is, the new games are normally in better condition then pre- owned games, and if you get a real good pre- owned game, you're really lucky! Why do Pre- owned games cost less money if there is nothing wrong with them?
Because if they sold the pre-owned and the new at the same price, no one would every buy the pre-owned and they would be over stocked with used games.
Because if the new games and used games cost the same no one would buy the used gamesWhy do Pre- owned games cost less money if there is nothing wrong with them?
wear and tear. the used game won't last as long as the new 1 (and it could stop working in a few days) you just never know. that's why used games are cheaper
because its been opened and messed around and used, it may have slight scratches. thats all really.
