ok well actually i wanna know several things.
1. Where do the ideas come from?
2. How are the ideas brought up so the game can be made?
3. How do they start it?
4. How much money does everyone get after the game is sold? do they keep getting money for every game bought?
5. Is there a budget to the game like a movie?
Any of these questions answered would be great and anything you would like to add. ThanksHow is the money dolled out for video games?
im no expert but here is my best insight,
Basically they start with a budget as every company does, if they are new they employ good staff and allocate them to teams, if they already have staff they do the same but without the employment.
They then start to build an idea, they then work around that idea with a setting and style and time era and so on. Each team then builds up a concept design for each part of the game, sound, art, animation, characters, setting, environment and so on. They then build on them ideas for a long time, till in their eyes the game is then complete. They then start advertising. Now they will run an internal beta. play the game any bad features are taken out and any improvements are made. they will then decide if to run a public beta or not. For the same pupose. then the games released.

Ask BT Garner. He does stuff like this himself and could probably answer almost any question you have regarding this subject.
